UNLV is being led by junior Justin Kim and senior Harry Hall as it competes in its 31st-straight NCAA Golf Regional. Kim is in 10th after two rounds while Hall is in 13th. As a team, the Rebels are in fourth. The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship finals, which will be played May 24-29 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Kim’s second round consisted of six birdies and two bogeys. He moved up 19 spots in the standings Tuesday.
Ohio State is the event’s team leader at 11-under, while No. 3 Wake Forest and No. 23 Illinois are both tied for second at 9-under. The Rebels’ 36-hole total is 4-under 572, while No. 10 California rounds out the top five at 2-under. Individually, there is a tie for first at 8-under between Oregon’s Edwin Yi and Illinois’ Michael Feagles. UNLV junior Justin Kim turned in the Rebels’ best individual round of the day at 4-under 68 and he leads the team in a tie for 10th at 3-under 141.
